Personal Lines Are Back at The Daley Agency- Introducing Camille Carew

We’re excited to share some big news at The Daley Agency. We’re back to writing Personal Lines, and we’ve brought in someone with a lot of experience to help us grow it.

Meet Camille Carew, our new Personal Lines Specialist.

Camille has spent most of her career in insurance, although she’ll be the first to tell you she didn’t exactly plan it that way. While she was in college, she needed a part-time job and started working as a file clerk at an insurance agency. Before long, she changed her major, took business courses, earned her insurance licenses and found a career she genuinely loved.

For Camille, Personal Lines has always been about much more than writing home and auto policies.

“I love learning about my clients. Buying their first home, having their first child, getting that first license for their child, sending them off to college and eventually hearing about grandchildren. It is the BEST hearing the pride and joy in that person’s voice.”

That’s also how she approaches a new client. She wants to know about you before she starts talking about insurance.

How do you spend your weekends? Do you travel? Do you spend summers on Fire Island or winters upstate? What do you own and what’s important to you?

Once she understands that, she can start putting the right coverage together.

And Camille has seen a lot over the years.

In addition to home, auto and umbrella, she can help with boats, motorcycles, second homes, jewelry, fine art and other personal assets. She has even handled coverage for an airplane and a wine collection valued at more than $2 million.

“I’ve been told I can think outside the box. I will try to find the coverage for your insurance needs for as long as it takes me.”

Camille also isn’t exactly new to The Daley Agency.

She first got to know our team years ago when she would visit the office as an insurance marketing representative. She remembers seeing everyone laughing, joking and enjoying working together. Matt would regularly tease her that there was always a desk available if she wanted one.

Years later, after getting tired of spending five days a week on the road traveling around New York, she finally took him up on it.

She called Matt, came into the office and, within an hour, she was part of the team.

“I haven’t stopped smiling since.”

Bringing Personal Lines back is important to us because so many of our clients already trust The Daley Agency with their businesses. We want to be able to help with the personal side of their lives too.

Camille is already reconnecting with longtime insurance company relationships and helping us expand the number of Personal Lines markets we can offer.

She also brings quite a story of her own. Camille is coming up on her 21st anniversary as a cancer survivor and fighter. Outside of work, she and her husband love to cook, walk their three dogs, spend time with their granddaughter and are getting ready to welcome a grandson.

At the end of the day, Camille says she wants every client she works with to feel confident about the decisions they made and know that their insurance was put together thoughtfully.

That sounds a lot like the way we’ve always tried to do things at The Daley Agency.
